Senior Software Engineer - Customer Agent
Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Customer Agent team, focusing on developing AI-driven solutions that enhance customer engagement for B2C brands. This role involves designing and scaling backend systems to support intelligent agents capable of automating customer interactions across various channels. The position is based in Boston, MA, and offers a hybrid work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining backend systems that power AI agents, ensuring scalability and reliability. You will collaborate closely with product managers, machine learning engineers, and data scientists to deliver impactful solutions. Your work will directly influence the development of AI agents that autonomously create and execute marketing and customer experience strategies for businesses.
Ideal candidates should have over 5 years of experience as a backend software engineer, with a strong background in building scalable, distributed systems. Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages is required. Experience with generative AI and agentic AI applications in production environments is highly desirable. The role also requires the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $148,000 to $222,000 USD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
