SeatGeek is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Cloud Platform team, focusing on enhancing the infrastructure that supports their technology ecosystem. This role combines traditional software engineering with the development of underlying infrastructure, including compute, infrastructure as code, database, and network systems. The team plays a crucial role in scaling SeatGeek's primary and secondary ticketing platforms, serving clients like the Dallas Cowboys and Manchester City FC.

In this position, you'll design, build, and operate shared cloud and networking platforms that support a modern, containerized, service-oriented architecture. Your responsibilities include improving reliability, observability, security, and scalability through automation and well-defined abstractions. You'll engineer resilient networking infrastructure across multiple regions and environments, build and maintain deployment tools, and collaborate with other departments to manage production systems autonomously. Additionally, you'll mentor team members and participate in an on-call schedule to ensure seamless live event experiences.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for software craftsmanship and product development, with experience in building business-critical software in fast-paced environments. A strong background in solving complex technical challenges, particularly in high-traffic scenarios, is essential. Proficiency with Kubernetes, containers, serverless compute platforms, and continuous integration and delivery processes is required. Experience with observability tools and system architecture improvements is also important.

The compensation for this role ranges from $144,000 to $209,000 annually, with eligibility for equity and a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Additional benefits include a flexible work environment, unlimited paid time off, up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave, 401(k) matching, health, vision, dental, and life insurance, and various wellness stipends. SeatGeek also offers up to $25,000 towards family building, reproductive health services, and gender-affirming care.
