Senior Software Development Manager, Payments
As a Senior Software Development Manager on the Payments team at Twitch, you will lead the development of products and platforms that enable over 7 million creators to monetize their content. This role involves architecting the next generation of payment systems, ensuring seamless and efficient transactions across Twitch's global ecosystem. Your work will directly impact the financial backbone of the platform, influencing both revenue streams and user satisfaction.
In this position, you will oversee a team of engineers responsible for designing, building, and operating full-stack web applications that process millions of transactions daily. Key responsibilities include establishing a clear vision for the team, driving the delivery of exceptional user experiences, and maintaining system resilience at a massive scale. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product management, data science, fraud prevention, compliance, finance, and creator experience is essential to shape and execute the monetization strategy.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as an engineering manager and over 5 years in software development. Proficiency with web services, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale system design is required. A proven ability to attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent, along with a willingness to accept feedback and foster a culture of continuous improvement, is essential. Experience with Agile development methodologies and leading teams to design and operate consumer-facing applications with high reliability is also expected.
