Senior Product Designer - Consumer Platform
OpenTable is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Diner Engagement team, focusing on enhancing the consumer platform. This role involves collaborating with a global team of product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to define strategy and drive the future of OpenTable's customer experience. The position is based in Toronto, Canada, with an initial remote setup transitioning to a hybrid model requiring two in-office days per week.
The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for creating impactful user experiences that delight customers and advance business objectives. Key responsibilities include translating complex workflows into elegant and accessible designs, conducting user research, building and testing prototypes, delivering polished visual designs, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring the user experience to life. The role also involves launching experiments such as A/B tests, conducting customer interviews, and facilitating team workshops.
Candidates should have a strong background in product design, with experience across iOS, Android, and responsive web platforms. Proficiency in all stages of the design process—from user research to high-fidelity design—is essential. The ideal candidate will excel at translating sophisticated workflows into user-friendly experiences, possess excellent communication and storytelling skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and incorporating feedback. A portfolio showcasing problem-solving abilities, exceptional visual and interaction design skills, and a breadth of product design work is required.
