Senior People Operations Generalist
The Senior People Operations Generalist at Box plays a pivotal role within the People and Communities team, focusing on enhancing the employee experience and supporting the company's growth in Japan. This position is based in Tokyo and reports directly to the Head of Japan People & Communities. Box is a leader in Intelligent Content Management, providing a platform that enables organizations to collaborate, manage content lifecycles, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI.
In this role, the individual serves as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding policies, procedures, and HRIS inquiries. Key responsibilities include managing onboarding and offboarding processes, assisting with employee relations, performance management, and coaching. The role also involves building effective relationships with business leaders and internal support teams to implement HR plans aligned with overall business strategies. Additionally, the Generalist supports the rollout of global People Operations programs and recommends continuous process improvements.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, with over five years of broad HR knowledge, particularly in operations areas such as social insurances, pensions, and leave of absence management. They should possess strong problem-solving abilities, operational excellence, and the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Workday, JIRA, and Excel is advantageous. Maintaining confidentiality and being a team player are essential qualities for this role.
