As a Senior Paralegal at GitLab, you will play a pivotal role in managing disputes, claims, and legal requests to support the business and mitigate risk. This position requires a deep understanding of litigation operations, with a focus on overseeing GitLab's e-discovery processes, including data preservation, collection, and discovery. You will collaborate closely with in-house attorneys, IT, Information Security, and outside counsel to handle complex legal matters efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities include leading complex e-discovery matters and strategic legal operations projects, operating GitLab's e-discovery program encompassing legal holds and data preservation, and preparing and reviewing legal responses such as subpoena responses and discovery materials. Additionally, you will develop and refine processes and knowledge bases to enhance consistency and governance across legal operations, coordinate with stakeholders to manage preservation and response workflows, and communicate legal risks and business considerations to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a paralegal or legal operations role with a focus on litigation support, whether in-house, at a law firm, or through an e-discovery vendor. A strong knowledge of e-discovery processes, forensic data collection, and evidence handling practices is essential. Familiarity with legal operations tools like Everlaw, Slack, and Google Workspace, along with the ability to manage cross-functional projects and conduct legal research, is also required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and analytical thinking are crucial for success in this role.
