Senior Legal Counsel - International Employment Law
As a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in International Employment Law at Delivery Hero, you will be an integral part of the legal team addressing the complexities of platform work regulations. This role focuses on managing courier classification risks globally, contributing to the company's mission of delivering exceptional experiences across approximately 70 countries.
Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring high-profile litigations and regulatory investigations, particularly in Italy and other markets, and developing defense strategies accordingly. You will collaborate closely with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to enhance delivery applications and stay informed about legislative developments affecting platform work, providing strategic support to Public Policy teams both at headquarters and in various markets.
The ideal candidate is an Italian-qualified employment lawyer with at least six years of experience in employment law, combining time in a reputable law firm and in-house within a tech company. Litigation experience and a passion for gig-economy and platform-work-related matters are essential. A solid understanding of adjacent legal areas, including procedural rules, social security regulations, tax, data protection, immigration, and commercial contracts, is also required. Fluency in both Italian and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is crucial.
