Senior Employment Counsel
Atlas HXM is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support on employment matters within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role involves advising internal teams and management on various employment-related issues, including employment agreements, leaves and benefits, workplace policies, and terminations, particularly in the context of our Employer of Record (EOR) services. The position is open to candidates located in India, Malaysia, Thailand, or Vietnam.
Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating employment agreements and related documentation, monitoring and interpreting employment law developments across APAC and other international jurisdictions, and proactively updating internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing compliance. The role also involves supporting client onboarding and offboarding processes by summarizing country-specific employment risks and regulatory requirements, as well as managing and partnering with outside counsel in employment litigation matters.
The ideal candidate is licensed to practice law in an APAC jurisdiction and has over four years of relevant experience in employment law within the region. Experience in both law firm practice and in-house roles is preferred. Strong research skills, a solid command of employment laws across multiple APAC jurisdictions, and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Experience in Employer of Record (EOR) services is a plus.
