Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer

IEX is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in New York. This role involves designing and developing scalable databases and data platforms, building GUI tools for data visualization, and architecting complex data solutions from the ground up. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new platforms and solving intricate financial data problems.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and supporting critical data services, performing data maintenance, backup, and security checks, optimizing data access, integrating and managing third-party data sources, and ensuring data security in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Participation in support rotations is also expected.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in KDB+/Q, and expertise in Python. Advanced Linux user skills are required. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of databases, development, and internet software, proficiency in Java/C++, and an understanding of financial products and equities. Experience with KX Dashboards and knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google, or Microsoft are advantageous.

The starting annual base pay for this New York-based position is between $200,000 and $250,000, dependent upon factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. This role is also eligible for bonus and equity.
