Senior Customer Education Specialist (Training)
The Senior Customer Education Specialist at Klaviyo plays a pivotal role in nurturing growth and fostering community among the company's diverse customer base. This position involves adapting and executing educational materials developed by the Curriculum Development Team, delivering training through various formats such as small group sessions, large webinars, in-person events, and personalized workshops. The role requires close collaboration with the Customer Education team, as well as marketing, sales, and customer success departments, to ensure customers receive the information they need. A key partnership with the Curriculum Development team focuses on aligning learning objectives, measuring success, and iterating based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
Key responsibilities include facilitating customer success and growth by driving training-related key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product adoption, feature usage, and customer retention throughout the customer lifecycle. The specialist is expected to support a rapidly expanding customer base by balancing scalable strategies with a customer-centric approach. Developing and launching new one-to-many training strategies to increase overall training attendance and content consumption is essential. Additionally, delivering engaging training sessions to audiences ranging from one-on-one to over a thousand attendees and providing actionable insights to stakeholders to inform curriculum changes or product feature roadmaps are critical aspects of the role. The position also involves transforming workflows by integrating artificial intelligence to build smarter systems and processes.
The ideal candidate is a customer success champion with a proven track record of building and nurturing relationships through live trainings and webinars. Exceptional project management skills, demonstrated by successful, on-time project completions, are required. Stellar written and verbal communication skills across all channels, including in-person, phone, video, and email, are essential. Comfort and experience presenting live, on camera, and creating engaging live sessions and videos are necessary, as the role demands exceptional storytelling abilities. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel or Tableau to turn data into actionable insights is important. A passion for marketing, particularly engaging direct-to-consumer brands, and ideally a strong background in marketing are desirable. The candidate should effectively balance strategic thinking with relevant content that helps businesses grow while achieving challenging goals. Thriving in a fast-paced, adaptable environment with multiple priorities and enjoying collaborative work with cross-functional teams are key attributes. Experience using e-commerce platforms and advising customers on marketing strategy is advantageous. Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and workflows, with a willingness to explore and learn new AI technologies to enhance work efficiency, is also beneficial.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary range of $88,000 to $132,000 USD for this position. The total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and well-being benefits, subject to eligibility. The role may require up to 10% travel for purposes such as new hire onboarding, client or partner work, team meetings, and industry events, with travel coordinated in advance.
