Senior Analytics Engineer
Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team, which collaborates closely with Go-To-Market (GTM), Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams. This role is pivotal in building scalable and trusted data systems that support data-driven decision-making across the company. The position is based in Boston, MA, and requires a hybrid work arrangement with three days per week in the office.
In this role, you will own and deliver end-to-end data pipelines and models that power Sales and Product analytics. Responsibilities include building curated, governed data marts to enable fast, reliable decision-making, designing dimensional data models for core entities such as accounts, pipeline, performance, and product usage, and partnering with Sales, Product, and Analytics teams to create holistic views of the customer and product lifecycle. Additionally, you will raise the bar on data quality, testing, monitoring, and documentation, enable reverse ETL workflows to operationalize insights into business systems, and act as a data ambassador across Product, Engineering, BI, and Legal to ensure alignment on data contracts and governance.
The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in analytics or data engineering within a modern data stack, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift. Strong expertise in SQL and dbt is essential, with a focus on building scalable, production-grade data models. Proficiency in Python (or similar) for orchestration or tooling is required, along with experience owning end-to-end data workflows from ingestion to business impact. The role demands the ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured data solutions, strong communication skills to partner with non-technical stakeholders, and experience implementing data testing, monitoring, and governance frameworks. Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with minimal guidance is also necessary.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $140,000 to $210,000 USD, determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
