Sales Service Executive (digital media/advertising)
The Sales Service Executive (SSE) is an entry-level to early-career sales role at GumGum, designed to train future Digital Executives. This position functions as a sales development role, supporting the sales team in prospecting, pitch development, account coverage, and day-to-day sales activities. While not a quota-carrying position, the SSE plays an active role in the selling process and gains direct exposure to clients, agencies, and the full sales motion. The primary objective of the role is sales training and readiness, while meaningfully increasing the productivity of the sales team.
Key responsibilities include supporting sellers in developing sales proposals, decks, and client presentations; assisting with prospecting and account research across assigned lists; helping prepare for RFPs, upfront conversations, and scatter opportunities; and tracking and organizing sales materials, follow-ups, and meeting notes. Additionally, the SSE provides continuity and coverage for account lists during seller absences, ensures continuity of communication and pipeline momentum, and escalates deal-critical decisions to sellers. The role also involves qualifying inbound leads, conducting initial outreach or discovery on behalf of sellers, and documenting context and recommended next steps before handoff.
The ideal candidate will have internship or early-career experience in sales, media, marketing, advertising, customer-facing roles, or related environments supporting commercial, client-facing, or revenue-generating teams. Exposure to digital advertising, media, technology, or B2B sales environments is preferred but not required. A bachelor's degree is preferred. The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort interacting with clients and agencies, as well as being curious, coachable, and motivated to build a sales career, are essential qualities for success in this role.
