VP, Sales
The Vice President of Sales at GumGum will lead the company's contextual advertising platform across markets west of the Mississippi. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this role requires a seasoned sales executive with a proven track record in the online media industry. The VP will be responsible for developing a high-performing sales team, fostering key relationships within the advertising community, and driving revenue growth through the adoption of GumGum's innovative solutions.
Key responsibilities include cultivating a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture, recruiting and developing top sales talent, and setting ambitious goals aligned with sales strategies. The VP will also promote a positive employee experience, champion best practices, and lead by example to inspire trust and respect within the team. Additionally, the role involves achieving and exceeding revenue targets, building strategic partnerships with key brand and agency contacts, generating new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure seamless client onboarding and campaign execution.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Media, Marketing, or Advertising, and over 10 years of experience in digital advertising sales. Experience managing a team responsible for a substantial book of business, demonstrated success in coaching team members to improve performance, and a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets are essential. Proficiency in Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, are also required. The role requires a willingness to travel 50% of the time across the designated markets.
GumGum offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary and commission, with an estimated on-target earnings range of $440,000 to $480,000.
