Account Manager
The Account Manager at GumGum plays a pivotal role within the Customer Success department, collaborating closely with the Sales team to deliver exceptional service to advertising agency partners. This position is integral to executing high-performing advertising campaigns that align with client objectives, thereby fostering strong, enduring relationships. GumGum, established in 2008 and headquartered in Santa Monica, California, operates across 19 markets globally, specializing in AI-driven, contextual advertising solutions that prioritize consumer privacy and engagement.
Key responsibilities include managing the entire campaign lifecycle from initiation to completion, encompassing tasks such as trafficking, quality assurance, optimization, and reporting for both direct and programmatic campaigns. The Account Manager monitors daily campaign performance, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators, and collaborates with internal teams—including Ad Operations, Design, Engineering, and Sales—to facilitate seamless execution. Additionally, this role serves as the primary liaison for clients, agencies, and trading desks, providing regular performance updates and strategic recommendations.
Candidates should possess 1–2 years of experience in digital media, particularly in roles related to Account Management or Media Planning. A solid understanding of programmatic advertising, including real-time bidding and campaign activation, is essential. Strong analytical skills are required to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are necessary for effective client interactions, along with proficiency in tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Familiarity with ad tech platforms like DoubleClick, Integral Ad Science, DoubleVerify, Salesforce, and JIRA is advantageous.
