As a Sales Development Representative at Octus, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our business across the Americas. Octus is a leading global provider of credit intelligence, data, and analytics, serving professionals in hedge funds, investment banking, management consulting, and law firms since 2013. This position is based in our New York City office, operating on a hybrid schedule with three days in the office per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities by researching and targeting key profiles within prospective accounts. Collaborating closely with Account Executives, you will assist in territory mapping, scheduling meetings, and supporting trial conversions. Your day-to-day activities will include consistent outreach via email, phone, and social channels to engage potential clients, effectively communicating Octus' value proposition, and logging all interactions in our CRM system, Salesforce. Achieving or surpassing monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) is expected.

The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts confidently to a sophisticated audience. Emotional intelligence is essential, with an emphasis on active listening and empathetic engagement to build trust and uncover client needs. A proactive and self-driven attitude, coupled with resilience and a goal-oriented mindset, will contribute to success in this role. A genuine interest in the financial services industry, particularly credit markets, and a passion for sales are crucial. Effective time management and organizational skills are also required. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field, along with sales or client-facing experience, is preferred.

Octus offers a competitive base salary ranging from $68,000 to $75,000, with eligibility for a monthly KPI-based commission bonus.
