Sales Development Representative - Australia/ New Zealand
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) for Australia and New Zealand at Remote, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base by identifying and engaging potential clients. Operating within our globally distributed Sales team, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers, helping them understand how Remote's Global HR Platform addresses their international hiring, payroll, and compliance needs. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to our mission of simplifying global employment.
Your primary responsibilities will include sourcing new sales prospects through tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot, conducting cold calls and outreach, and creating targeted account lists. You will research business needs, clearly communicate Remote's value proposition, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for Account Executives. Additionally, you will support the Account Executive team by educating prospects and ensuring a smooth transition into the sales cycle.
The ideal candidate will have proven success in business development, particularly within a B2B SaaS technology company. Proficiency with core sales tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Chorus is advantageous. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, active listening, and a positive, energetic phone presence are essential. Strategic and tactical thinking, resilience in the face of rejection, and a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation are also key attributes. Fluency in English is required, and while remote work experience is not mandatory, it is considered a plus.
