Robotaxi Safety Programme Lead

As the Robotaxi Safety Programme Lead at Wayve, you will spearhead the execution of our safety programme for deploying autonomous driving technology in real-world robotaxi operations. This pivotal role involves translating our Safety Management System and safety case into a structured, scalable plan that aligns with partner requirements and complies with various regulatory environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, legal, policy, and partners, to ensure the delivery of a credible and defensible safety programme.

Your primary responsibilities will include owning and scaling robotaxi pilot safety plans and associated artefacts, structuring and tracking key safety management deliverables with support from cross-functional teams, liaising with external partners to align requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans, tracking and reporting key safety performance indicators and metrics, and identifying and planning safety plan expansions as Wayve enters new markets.

To excel in this role, you should have experience in creating and executing safety management activities, encompassing safety policy, assurance, risk management, and safety promotion. Applied experience with safety in a fleet operations environment or similar is essential, along with strong partner and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in risk management tools and evaluation, as well as cross-functional project management, is also required.

This full-time, office-based position is located in either London or Sunnyvale, CA, depending on your place of residence.
