Capital on Tap is seeking a Risk Manager to lead the design and delivery of their risk management framework. This senior leadership role involves collaborating closely with the UK Compliance Director and Risk Owners across the Leadership Team. The position is based in London, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

The Risk Manager will be responsible for strategic risk leadership, providing senior leadership with a forward-looking, decision-useful view of risk as the business scales. They will own and refresh the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring it aligns with the growing FinTech environment. Additional duties include re-baselining the Risk Taxonomy with Risk Owners, building live Key Risk Indicator (KRI) dashboards, transitioning to a Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform, leading annual wind-down plan refreshes, supporting governance, and partnering with Internal Audit and third-party assurance providers.

Candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of FCA SYSC 4, 6, and 7, the EMD/PSD regime, FCA WDPG, and CASS 10A. Experience in designing or refreshing an Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including taxonomy, appetite, KRIs, RCSA methodology, and Risk Committee reporting, is essential. A background in FCA-regulated firms within the EMI, payments, banking, or FinTech sectors is preferred, along with a proven track record in building effective risk reporting and embedding stress testing and wind-down planning at the firm level.

While not mandatory, experience evaluating or implementing a GRC platform, exposure to AI risk management and operational resilience under FCA expectations, and professional qualifications such as IRM, FRM, or PRMIA are advantageous.
