QA Team Lead
The QA Team Lead at Capital on Tap will oversee the Quality Engineering team, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and UX departments to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring that quality is integrated from the outset, rather than being an afterthought, thereby enhancing the company's suite of financial products designed to simplify small business operations.
Key responsibilities include coaching team members on best practices and domain knowledge to foster self-sufficiency, transforming junior staff into independent experts capable of leading initiatives, and promoting a "Self-Serve First" culture by documenting solutions to reduce reliance on the lead's memory. The QA Team Lead will also partner with Development and UX teams to govern the feature lifecycle, represent QA in company-wide working groups, and align quality standards with business priorities to ensure effective team performance.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a QA leadership role within a fast-paced tech or fintech environment, strong knowledge of test automation strategies and tools such as xUnit, RestSharp, and Cypress, and experience testing RESTful APIs and microservice architectures. Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants like Claude and GitHub Copilot, along with a track record of driving AI adoption, is essential. Additionally, the candidate should have experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and a data-driven approach to decision-making, with comfort in using agile metrics and Quality OKRs.
