Risk and Compliance Professional
Axiom, a global leader in on-demand legal talent, is seeking a Risk and Compliance Professional to support a leading Australian superannuation fund. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with internal business and legal leaders, guiding teams on compliance initiatives across the organization.
The primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining the risk profile to ensure exposures remain within appetite, conducting proactive risk assessments across operational processes, third-party service providers, and investment performance activities, delivering risk reporting and insights to senior executives, committees, and the Board, and leading or participating in governance forums related to operational risk, investment risk, and performance risk.
Candidates should possess a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and controls, particularly in investment operations or financial services, knowledge of enterprise risk, operational risk, and compliance requirements, including regulatory and governance expectations (e.g., APRA standards), familiarity with investment operations, performance measurement, and related business processes, strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, and proven experience in a Line 1 risk management role, ideally within investment operations or financial services.
