QA Engineer

Capital on Tap is seeking a QA Engineer to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a QA Engineer, you will be an integral part of our product squads, collaborating closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers to ensure the quality of our financial platform. Our QA team is committed to an "automation-first" testing strategy, fostering a culture of shared success and continuous learning.

In this role, you will own both manual and automated testing across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Your responsibilities will include expanding automated test coverage within an agile team, investigating user-reported issues, performing hands-on technical testing, and managing bug reports. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by refining QA processes, tools, and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience in QA for web and mobile applications, covering functional, regression, performance, exploratory, manual, and automated testing. Proficiency in C# or similar object-oriented programming languages, as well as JavaScript/TypeScript, is required. Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Postman, RestSharp, xUnit/NUnit, and REST API testing is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD environments and SQL Server querying and scripting skills are also important.
