The Public Sector Account Executive, State and Local Government, will join Box's growing sales team, focusing on expanding Box’s footprint within state and local government agencies. Box is a leading cloud content management and file sharing service for businesses, dedicated to empowering organizations to securely manage, access, and collaborate with their most important information. This role is part of the Public Sector team, which works to bring Box’s innovative solutions to government partners seeking secure, scalable, and compliant content management tools.

The primary responsibilities include driving new business and expanding existing relationships within the assigned territory, meeting and exceeding sales quotas through solution selling and value-driven conversations. The Account Executive will be tasked with identifying key decision-makers, developing tailored presentations and proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing complex sales cycles. Regular engagement with cross-functional teams, including legal, marketing, and customer success, is expected to ensure that prospective clients receive a seamless experience throughout the sales process.

Ideal candidates will have significant experience in enterprise software or cloud solutions sales, particularly within the public sector or to government clients. Knowledge of government buying processes, RFP responses, and contract vehicles is highly preferred. Strong relationship-building skills, consultative selling capabilities, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures are essential, along with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
