Product Risk and Compliance- Expansion Senior Manager
Wise is seeking a Product Risk and Compliance- Expansion Senior Manager to join our Regional Product Squad. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the Product Risk and Compliance Program, enabling Wise to expand its services to a broader customer base in the North American market. This position involves close collaboration with Wise's Banking and Product teams to enhance existing products, secure new licenses, and launch new offerings across the United States and Canada.
Key responsibilities include providing effective advice to cross-functional stakeholders on current and upcoming regulations, identifying gaps and risks, and translating local regulatory requirements for Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless execution. You will empower Product Teams to develop risk-based products, processes, and controls, ensuring regulatory compliance is integral to the product development cycle. Additionally, you will perform pre-launch and ongoing product compliance regulatory analyses and risk assessments, monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Compliance and Risk Program to various internal and external stakeholders, and define regulatory risk metrics to assess the health of Wise’s new licenses and products in the US and Canada.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar product compliance or regulatory role within a fintech or financial services environment. A deep understanding of payments and financial services regulations, including Regulation E and UDAAP, is essential. Demonstrated ability to influence decision-making on major projects such as product launches, remediations, and audits is required, along with experience in building and scaling compliance frameworks.
