Product Manager - AI Driver
As a Product Manager - AI Driver at Wayve, you will lead customer interactions in Japan, building strong relationships across product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders. You will bridge the communication gap between Japan and Wayve's global teams, ensuring a fast and accurate flow of information. This role is pivotal in driving local development efforts and aligning them with the company's global objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include leading local development initiatives, closely partnering with global engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver features that matter most to customers. You will set the technical and product direction for the Japan-based team, translating customer feedback and market context into actionable product requirements. Additionally, you will drive issue triage and resolution, owning customer-facing communication to ensure rapid and technically sound responses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, computer science, robotics, automotive, or similar fields, with the ability to engage credibly on deep technical topics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese are essential, along with a proven track record in product management or a customer-facing technical role. Demonstrated leadership and the ability to influence across cross-functional, cross-geography teams are also key.
