Principal UX Designer, Engagement
As a Principal UX Designer for Engagement Growth at Twitch, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term vision for user engagement on our platform. This position is integral to the UX Community team, which focuses on enhancing streamer creation and viewer engagement experiences across our product ecosystem. Twitch is the world's leading live streaming service, fostering global communities centered around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing design strategies that increase user engagement and strengthen the connections between creators and their communities. Your day-to-day activities will include collaborating with senior researchers, product managers, and data scientists to deeply understand user behaviors and needs. You will lead the design strategy and execution for complex products and features, create presentations and prototypes to communicate product designs to executive leadership, and mentor a small group of designers within the Engagement space.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of practical experience in UX design, with a strong emphasis on user and fan engagement experiences. Proficiency in interaction design and visual craft skills, including experience with prototyping mobile experiences and a high level of proficiency in Figma, is essential. You should possess an experience strategy skillset that allows you to map user needs and mental models to UX, IA, and UI design decisions. Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers is required, along with excellent storytelling and narrative skills to align cross-functional partners and executive teams around design vision and rationale.

- Seattle, WA: $164,000 - $221,800 USD
- San Francisco, CA: $180,300 - $244,000 USD
- New York, NY: $180,300 - $244,000 USD
- Irvine, CA: $164,000 - $221,800 USD
