Presuit Secretary
The Presuit Secretary at Morgan & Morgan plays a vital role in supporting the firm's legal team by managing day-to-day administrative operations. Key responsibilities include organizing, filing, and maintaining client files, which may encompass over 100 cases. The Presuit Secretary is tasked with collecting and processing check requests for medical records, accident reports, driving records, and vehicle ownership documents. Additional duties involve copying documents and demand packages, preparing and sending various correspondence such as turndown and no representation letters, and performing general office tasks like typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail.
Candidates should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with a preference for those who are bilingual in English and Spanish. While one year of experience in the legal field is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing and file management, is essential. The role requires the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and manage workloads with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are also necessary.
