Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing essential support to our legal team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong work ethic and exceptional problem-solving skills who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect and examine evidence, draft and proofread legal documents, and research regulations and laws to assist in case preparation.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years of experience as an administrative assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with strong organizational and communication skills, is essential. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
