Presuit Secretary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Pre-Suit Secretary to join our Richmond, Virginia office. This role is integral to our legal team, providing essential administrative support to ensure the efficient management of client cases. As a key player in our operations, the Pre-Suit Secretary will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional legal services to our clients.

The Pre-Suit Secretary will be responsible for organizing, filing, and maintaining client files for over 100 cases. Key duties include processing check requests for medical records and accident reports, copying documents and demand packages, completing certified mail cards, and performing general office tasks such as typing and sorting mail. Additionally, the role involves creating client folders, preparing and sending various correspondence, and dispatching demand letters.

Candidates should possess an associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience, with at least one year in the legal field being advantageous. Proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures, including word processing and file management, is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong written and communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required, along with a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.

This on-site position offers a starting compensation of $22 per hour.
