The People Shared Services Specialist at Canva plays a pivotal role within the People Central Tier 1 team, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and ensuring seamless support across various HR processes. This position is integral to delivering exceptional employee experiences and maintaining efficient HR operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include providing first-line support to employees by resolving Tier 1 inquiries promptly and effectively, managing a high volume of requests through the JIRA Service Management system, and supporting core employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding and offboarding. The specialist is also tasked with processing self-serviceable requests in Workday, responding to general policy questions, escalating complex queries to Tier 2 teams, and creating user-friendly documentation to facilitate self-service and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate possesses 1–2 years of experience in HR Shared Services, HR Administration, or HRIS Support, preferably within multi-region teams across APAC, Americas, and EMEA. Proficiency in managing high volumes of requests while maintaining quality and meeting service level agreements is essential. Strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets are required. Experience with Workday HCM and JIRA Service Management is highly desirable.
