Onboarding Analyst (Weekends)
The Onboarding Analyst (Weekends) role at Capital on Tap is a key position within the Financial Crime team, which comprises 62 professionals globally. This team is dedicated to ensuring the company meets its regulatory obligations concerning Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF). Capital on Tap is a financial platform offering a range of products, including a business credit card and SME-focused spend management tools, aimed at simplifying financial management for small businesses.
In this role, the Onboarding Analyst is responsible for conducting Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) checks across the company's product offerings with accuracy and efficiency. The analyst will review alerts related to Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), sanctions, and adverse media, identifying potential risks and escalating complex cases for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD). Additionally, the role involves handling ambiguous cases by gathering necessary information and seeking guidance from senior team members, as well as contributing ideas to improve the efficiency of customer checks.
Candidates should have prior experience conducting KYC/KYB checks and a solid understanding of identifying PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media hits. A background in a regulated financial services environment, preferably across various customer or product types, is essential. The role requires balancing due diligence with maintaining a smooth customer journey, effective communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders, adaptability to different internal systems and risk appetites, and a proactive approach to learning regulatory updates and suggesting process improvements.
The position offers shift patterns including Friday to Monday, with one day from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM and the other three days from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, requiring either Friday or Monday in the office. Alternatively, shifts from Thursday or Friday through to Monday or Tuesday (five days including Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with two days a week in the office, are available.
