Lead Software Engineer
As a Lead Software Engineer at Capital on Tap, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our financial platform, which includes a business credit card, SME-focused spend management tools, and a business savings account. Operating within our London office, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and resilient systems that support our mission of simplifying financial management for small businesses.
In this role, you'll be deeply involved in designing and evolving microservices and distributed systems, ensuring they are maintainable and performant. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing and reviewing high-quality code, conducting thorough code reviews, and leading high-impact projects from concept to delivery. You'll also act as a technical authority, providing guidance to fellow engineers and collaborating with Product Managers and other stakeholders to align technical execution with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with C# a strong background in designing and building microservices, and a solid understanding of RESTful API design and Azure cloud development. A pragmatic approach to delivery, with the ability to ship MVPs and iterate effectively, is essential. Experience working cross-functionally with Product and QA teams, as well as familiarity with modern software development practices, will be advantageous.
