New York Funds Knowledge Lawyer
Clifford Chance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join its Funds team in New York. This role is designed to support the team by providing practice support, knowledge management, AI adoption assistance, horizon scanning, thought leadership, and training. Key responsibilities include offering precedent and resource recommendations, conducting legal research, and providing guidance on various fund matters. The Knowledge Lawyer will coordinate with the firm's opinion committee to update and maintain legal opinion templates and facilitate access to the firm's resources and services. Additionally, the role involves collecting and curating a comprehensive suite of precedents, templates, checklists, and other know-how materials relevant to fund matters, as well as collaborating with lawyers across the firm's network on firm-wide knowledge management initiatives.
The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and be admitted to the New York Bar. A minimum of five years of experience practicing law in fund formation, particularly with closed-ended private fund structures and related regulatory considerations, is essential. Strong legal research and analytical skills, along with the ability to create, manage, and update legal precedents and templates, are required. Experience in organizing and delivering training sessions, briefings, and presentations on a broad range of legal topics is also important.
Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $230,000 to $285,000, with actual compensation commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
