New York Funds & Asset Management Knowledge Lawyer

Clifford Chance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join its Funds team in New York. This role is designed to support the team by providing practice support, knowledge management, AI adoption assistance, horizon scanning, thought leadership, and training. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the team's efficiency and expertise in fund-related matters.

Key responsibilities include offering precedent and resource recommendations, conducting legal research, and providing guidance on a wide array of fund issues. The Knowledge Lawyer will coordinate with the firm's opinion committee to update and maintain the legal opinion template and facilitate access to the firm's resources and services, including connecting with lawyers possessing relevant expertise in other groups or offices.

The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and be admitted to the New York Bar. A minimum of five years of experience practicing law in fund formation, particularly with closed-ended, private fund structures and related regulatory considerations, is essential. Strong legal research and analytical skills, along with the ability to create, manage, and update legal precedents, templates, and other knowledge resources, are required. Experience in organizing and delivering training sessions, briefings, and presentations on a broad range of legal topics is also necessary.

Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $325,000 to $350,000 annually, with actual salary commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
