New York Trade Finance Associate Attorney

Clifford Chance's New York office is seeking a Senior Trade Finance Associate Attorney to join its Debt Finance Group. This role involves advising borrowers, lenders, and arrangers on various corporate finance and investment-grade lending transactions, including syndicated loans, revolving credit facilities, acquisition financings, and trade finance facilities. Key responsibilities include providing legal counsel on corporate finance transactions, drafting and negotiating loan documentation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The associate will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs and may be involved in mentoring junior associates to foster a team-oriented culture.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school with high academic achievement. Admission to, or eligibility to waive into, the New York Bar is required. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a peer law firm, a strong interest in trade finance, and demonstrate entrepreneurial qualities and teamwork skills. Preferred class years are 2019-2021.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $365,000 to $420,000, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
