Senior Lawyer - Corporate Transactions & Advisory, Luxembourg
Clifford Chance is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Corporate Transactions & Advisory team in Luxembourg. This role involves advising leading global companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, and high-value commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on complex, cross-border transactions. The team collaborates closely with specialists in antitrust, finance, capital markets, litigation, tax, pensions, employment, and real estate to provide integrated advice, combining international deal execution skills with deep local market knowledge and sector-focused expertise. The practice also encompasses corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and technology advisory services, offering clients comprehensive support across all aspects of corporate activity.
Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, leading due diligence processes, coordinating cross-border deal teams, and working directly with clients and their advisers. The role requires close collaboration with specialists in various areas to deliver seamless, forward-looking solutions. The successful candidate will be at the center of significant deals, contributing to a team that values teamwork, precision, and creativity.
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer, either already registered with the Luxembourg Bar or able to do so promptly. They should have 5-7 years of relevant M&A experience, ideally with a leading law firm. Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in French is highly desirable, and Luxembourgish is considered an asset. The candidate should possess a sharp, analytical mind with strong commercial instincts, strive to provide high service delivery for clients, and develop trust relationships with them. Reliability, rigor, dynamism, and the ability to simplify complex issues and provide clear, confident advice are essential. A collaborative spirit and valuing team dynamics are also important.
