Mid-weight Finished Art and Prepress Designer (9-month, Contract)

Canva is seeking a Mid-weight Finished Art and Prepress Designer for a 9-month contract to join our dynamic team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to our mission of redefining how the world experiences design, collaborating with talented professionals globally.

In this position, you will create high-quality print designs across various formats, including marketing materials, templates, and collateral. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing print-ready files with correct specifications, conducting pre-flight checks, and managing file setup and export requirements. Additionally, you will design modular and reusable templates, contribute to print design systems, and explore AI tools to enhance design workflows.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in visual design principles, including typography, layout, color, and composition. Experience in print processes and production workflows is essential, along with proficiency in design tools such as Adobe/Affinity, prepress and print production tools, and familiarity with Pantone and ICC profiles. An emerging ability to use AI tools to support design workflows and a keen understanding of balancing AI efficiency with human craft are also desired.
