Mid-level Employment Lawyer
Axiom is seeking mid-level Employment Lawyers to collaborate with some of the world's largest companies across various industries. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely within the United States, providing legal expertise in employment matters to a diverse client base.
Key responsibilities include advising HR and management on hiring, performance, discipline, termination, accommodations, leaves, and investigations. The role also involves counseling on sensitive employee matters such as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as developing and updating HR policies and handbooks, including those applicable to international locations with support from local counsel.
Candidates must possess a J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership in their state of primary residence. A minimum of 5 years of employment law experience is required, with a preference for backgrounds in both large law firms and in-house roles. Strong employment counseling experience, particularly in wage and hour compliance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential.
This position offers competitive compensation starting at $130,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health benefits, a 401(k) plan, and access to professional development resources. Axiomites predominantly work remotely, though some clients may require on-site presence.
