Manager, Business Development
Box is seeking a Manager of Business Development to lead a team of Outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs) focused on generating meetings, opportunities, and pipeline in net-new and customer accounts within the US Mid-Market segment. This role is based in New York, NY, and offers the opportunity to join a team of highly motivated sales professionals dedicated to expanding Box's customer base and delivering the company's message across various industries.
The Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of BDRs, developing and executing career development plans, and fostering a high-performing culture through coaching and mentorship. Key responsibilities include coaching BDRs on complex outbound efforts, strategizing with Commercial Account Executives and marketing counterparts on pipeline initiatives, reporting on team performance to senior leadership, and optimizing systems and processes through AI automation to improve team efficiency.
Candidates should have at least one year of experience managing sales professionals, with a preference for those who have a strong track record of quota attainment in both SDR/BDR and Account Executive roles. Proficiency in BDR tech stacks such as Outreach, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, ZRA, Qualified, and 6Sense is essential. The ideal candidate will excel in collaboration with cross-functional teams, provide detailed analysis and accurate forecasting using Salesforce and other data sources, and demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. Experience in managing or selling in Enterprise SaaS and a passion for AI are also desired.
Box offers a competitive compensation package for this role, with a salary range of $170,000 to $195,000 USD annually. Employees are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of three days per week, fostering a culture of community and in-person collaboration.
