Lending Backend Java Developer - New York
Galaxy is seeking a Lending Backend Java Developer to join their technology team in New York. In this role, the developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services for crypto lending and borrowing products. Responsibilities include implementing core lending logic such as loan origination, collateral valuation, interest rate models, and liquidation mechanisms. The developer will also build reliable, scalable APIs, integrate with blockchain networks and traditional financial systems, and collaborate with product, risk, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into robust systems.
The ideal candidate should have over 7 years of relevant experience, excellent core Java skills, and knowledge of Spring and Kafka. Experience in developing microservices, code optimization, and profiling is essential. Additional qualifications include development experience with OMS and risk systems, knowledge of traditional financial products like options, forwards, and futures, as well as familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and crypto products such as perpetual forwards and on-chain borrows/lends.
Galaxy offers a competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $200,000 USD, along with a discretionary bonus.
