Lending Backend Java Developer - London
Galaxy is seeking a skilled Backend Java Developer to join our Lending technology team in London. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for crypto lending and borrowing products. Key tasks include implementing core lending functionalities such as loan origination, collateral valuation, interest rate modeling, and risk management mechanisms. Additionally, you will build scalable APIs, integrate with blockchain networks and traditional financial systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will have over seven years of relevant experience, with excellent core Java skills and proficiency in Spring and Kafka. Experience in developing microservices, along with strong code optimization and profiling capabilities, is essential. Familiarity with traditional financial products like options, forwards, and futures, as well as knowledge of crypto products such as perpetual forwards and on-chain borrows/lends, is advantageous. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and leading a team will be considered a plus.
