Morgan & Morgan is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our team in Pensacola, Florida. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the firm's daily operations and providing essential support to our legal team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment within a leading personal injury law firm committed to protecting the rights of individuals.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. You will maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and legal documents, and implement administrative processes to enhance workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will collect and examine evidence for attorney review, draft and proofread legal correspondence, and conduct research on regulations and laws to assist in case preparation.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those holding an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree. A minimum of one year of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal is required, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience in practice areas such as Social Security, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, or Premises Liability is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Strong written and communication skills, proficiency in scheduling depositions and hearings, and extensive knowledge of legal procedures and documentation are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute are also required.
