Lead Security Engineer, Enterprise Security

As a Lead Security Engineer at Klaviyo, you will play a pivotal role within the Infrastructure Security Team, focusing on enhancing the security posture across the company's diverse technology environment. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable security controls across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Your day-to-day activities will include evaluating and improving security configurations and policies, collaborating with engineering and IT teams to embed security practices, leading threat modeling and risk assessments, and developing automated solutions to address emerging threats.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in infrastructure or security engineering roles, with deep knowledge in areas such as cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint security, data protection, detection engineering, or compliance. Proficiency in modern cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure, familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and strong skills in secure systems design and vulnerability management are essential. Experience with AI agentic development and prompt engineering is also highly valued.

Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $188,000 to $282,000, depending on factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, and work location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits.
