Lead Product Manager, Data Management
Klaviyo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to drive the strategy and execution of its Data Management and Governance capabilities. This role is pivotal in shaping the systems that define how data is managed across the platform, enabling teams to build reliable products, analytics, and AI systems on top of trusted data. The Data Management and Governance team plays a foundational role in ensuring that teams across the company can build reliable products, analytics, and AI systems on top of trusted data.
In this position, the Lead Product Manager will define and own the product vision and roadmap for Klaviyo’s data management and governance capabilities. Responsibilities include partnering closely with engineering and data platform teams to design scalable systems for data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality. The role also involves driving the development of semantic data layers and modeling frameworks that simplify how teams interact with complex data systems, evaluating and leading build vs. buy decisions for components of the data management stack, and collaborating with AI/ML teams to ensure data systems support emerging AI-powered capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of product management experience, with meaningful experience building data platforms, infrastructure products, or data tooling. Strong technical depth with the ability to work closely with engineers on system design and architecture decisions is essential. Experience working with data governance frameworks, metadata systems, semantic layers, or analytics infrastructure is highly valued. The candidate should be comfortable operating in highly technical environments involving large-scale data systems or AI/ML platforms, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have excellent cross-functional communication abilities.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary range of $168,000 to $252,000 USD for this position. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, equity, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
