Lead Full-Stack Engineer, Content Creation
Box is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to join the Content Creation team in Warsaw, Poland. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining Box's core real-time applications, including Box Notes and Box Canvas, which are integral to the platform's content creation capabilities. As a key member of this team, the Lead Full-Stack Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of content generation within Box.
In this role, the engineer will lead large-scale projects from inception to deployment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to assess and plan the re-architecture of existing components. Responsibilities include reviewing project requirements, proposing innovative solutions, and ensuring that the development process adheres to high-quality standards. The position also involves managing and maintaining substantial portions of both frontend and backend legacy codebases, as well as participating in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and on-call rotations to address any arising issues.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of professional software development experience, with strong knowledge of data structures and software design principles. Proficiency in frontend development using TypeScript and React.js is essential, along with expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and experience in test automation. The candidate should also have experience working with legacy codebases and possess strong teamwork and leadership qualities to guide junior engineers and collaborate effectively with architects and team members.
