Lead Database Reliability Engineer (SQL DBA)

The Lead Database Reliability Engineer at Zenoti is responsible for managing and optimizing cloud-based database systems across AWS and Azure environments. Key responsibilities include analyzing and troubleshooting database performance issues, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting, and performing query optimization and index analysis. Additionally, the role involves configuring cloud instances, automating regular processes, and managing monitoring tools to maintain high levels of performance and security.

Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in database administration, with at least 2-3 years in AWS or Azure cloud environments. Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting is essential, along with strong skills in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) and PowerShell scripting. Experience with SQL Server versions 2019 and above, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance is advantageous. The role also requires expertise in designing backup and recovery strategies, managing patch installations, and creating comprehensive documentation for database configurations and best practices.
