Lead Automation Engineer
Capital on Tap is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to join their Quality Engineering team in Lisbon. This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial products by embedding quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Initially, the position is fully remote, transitioning to a hybrid model with two days on-site once the Lisbon office is operational. The company offers a competitive salary ranging from €65,000 to €75,000.
As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will define and implement comprehensive testing strategies for specific domains such as payments, banking, or onboarding. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated tests across API, UI, and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners and Developers to integrate quality from the outset, manage automation targets, and utilize data-driven insights to identify and mitigate risks.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in QA Automation or SDET roles, with a proven track record in leading quality initiatives within Agile teams. Proficiency in modern programming languages, particularly C# or JavaScript/TypeScript, is essential. Experience in testing complex financial systems, such as card issuing or transaction processing, is highly desirable. Familiarity with automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, and REST Assured, as well as cloud platforms and CI/CD processes, is required.
