The Industry Principal, Retail & CPG at Box is a strategic leadership role focused on enhancing Box's presence and engagement within the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors. This position involves developing and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, establishing Box as a trusted partner for industry leaders, and driving large-scale business opportunities. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Customer Success, to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
Key responsibilities include crafting a data-driven, long-term strategic plan for Box's initiatives in the Retail and CPG industries, with clear annual and quarterly milestones. The Industry Principal will build and nurture executive-level relationships, particularly with CIOs and other C-suite executives, to position Box as a strategic partner. Additionally, the role involves articulating how Box's cloud content management platform integrates with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, and custom retail POS or eCommerce systems. The individual will support complex sales cycles by translating Box's capabilities into clear business value for stakeholders in large retail and CPG organizations.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience driving technology transformation within leading Retail and CPG organizations, with a deep understanding of go-to-market strategies tailored to these industries. A strong network of executive-level connections within the Retail and CPG sectors is essential. Technical proficiency in web and cloud-based technologies, along with a solid grasp of the Retail and CPG tech stack, including emerging opportunities in AI and agentic workflows, is required. Exceptional public speaking skills, a strong executive presence, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders are also critical for success in this role.
Box offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $163,500 to $240,500 USD, along with equity and comprehensive benefits.
