Head of Engineering Productivity & Experience

AlphaSense is seeking a Head of Engineering Productivity & Experience to lead the transformation of software development, testing, and delivery processes within the organization. This Director-level position will oversee a global team of approximately 400 engineers, initially managing a team of around 13, and will define the strategic direction for the Engineering Productivity domain.

The role involves developing a unified platform ecosystem that integrates AI-driven development, developer tooling, web infrastructure, and QA automation. Responsibilities include enhancing platforms to ensure high-confidence releases, optimizing CI/CD workflows in collaboration with SRE and Cloud Platform teams, and advancing AI-assisted software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.

Candidates should possess extensive experience in engineering leadership focused on developer productivity and experience, a deep understanding of modern SDLC and engineering workflows, and a proven track record in improving CI/CD processes. Experience in building or scaling internal developer platforms, driving test automation at scale, and leading distributed engineering teams is essential. Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple engineering organizations are also required.
