Head of Corporate Development
As the Head of Corporate Development at Klaviyo, you will lead the company's inorganic growth strategy, driving mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments to accelerate Klaviyo's mission and growth trajectory. This role involves developing a deep understanding of industry trends and building relationships with key market players to identify and execute growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities include crafting Klaviyo's inorganic strategy in collaboration with the leadership team, leading and executing strategic transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, and immersing yourself in the global market to build relationships with partners, competitors, startups, banks, and venture capitalists. You will also create processes to identify and prioritize potential investment opportunities, act as the primary point of contact for these opportunities, and oversee the entire deal lifecycle from development of investment theses to integration of acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development within a large software company. A proven track record of structuring and closing successful corporate development transactions is essential, along with extensive deal experience demonstrating mastery of the corporate development lifecycle. Experience with SaaS, ecommerce, or similar internet businesses is strongly preferred, as well as exceptional communication skills and strategic, operational, and quantitative thinking abilities.
Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary range of $240,000 to $360,000 USD, determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and work location. The total compensation package may also include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
