The Financial Crime Team Leader at Capital on Tap will lead the UK and US Analyst teams, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding customers and proactively combating financial crime. Key responsibilities include leading a high-performing team of Financial Crime Analysts serving customers across the UK and US, driving professional growth through tailored coaching and regular one-on-one sessions. The role also involves conducting regular reviews of team decisions and documentation to ensure technical soundness and alignment with the company's risk appetite. Additionally, the Team Leader will manage global workflows and resources to meet internal service level agreements without compromising quality, champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements, and act as the final authority on complex SME investigations, making decisive, risk-based decisions.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Financial Crime Team Leader specializing in the end-to-end customer lifecycle, particularly in Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and understanding the complexities of Beneficial Ownership for corporate entities, along with robust Transaction Monitoring oversight. They should be adaptable and pragmatic leaders with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving, possess a proven track record of leading high-performing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments, and be analytical thinkers skilled in interpreting complex data to drive evidence-based decision-making.
